Message That measurement needs to be dead on, which is actually fairly simple. When you're setting it up, before doing anything around the car other than just a general ballpark "looks about even", adjust the supports in the front and rear so the strings are level with the center of the wheels. Then measure between the two strings on each support (the green line and measurement "A" in the mad awesome paint diagram), adjusting as needed. When that number is the same front and rear the strings are parallel. After that, move the entire support on one end so the measurement between the string and the center of the wheel are the same (the Bs). Repeat for the rear (the Cs). You'll have to do this several times because when you adjust one you change the other. Just keep at it until your left-right measurements are the same for each axle. When you have all that put together the strings will be parallel, centered on the chassis and level with the wheel center lines and you can adjust toe from there. Being very anal retentive about getting everything setup pays off. Loosening the lock nuts on the toe links before getting into the strings helps too.

The two As need to be the same, as do the Bs and Cs. B and C don't have to match each other (due to different track widths front and rear) but they need to be the same left to right.
